Sludge overflow in sewage plant due to heavy rain and other causes (including unusual sludge sedimentation). The monitored threshold values for suspended solids (SS), adsorbable organic halides (AOX), chemical oxygen demand (COD), biological oxygen demand (BOD) and phosphorus were temporarily exceeded. The authorities tolerated the higher values until the cause could be eliminated. The sludge overflow did not impair water quality. |
