WACKER had 1,100 research and development staff in 2011. That represents 6.4 percent of the Group’s employees. Our scientists and engineers work on both basic research and developing new products and processes for our customers, as well as on improving existing processes. Our lab staff and technical staff support implementation in our laboratories, production and pilot plants or onsite in the customers’ plants.
