In 2024, WACKER’s procurement volume edged down to €4.5 billion (2023: €4.6 billion). This was due to lower procurement prices, higher procurement volumes due to higher production quantities, and slightly lower capital expenditures. At 79 percent, the procurement rate – raw materials, services and other materials as a percentage of sales – was above the prior-year level (2023: 72 percent).

The Group spent €2.65 billion to procure energy, raw materials and packaging, roughly 2 percent less than in the previous year (2023: €2.72 billion). Reduced prices more than offset the effects resulting from increased volumes.
