Creating tomorrow’s solutions

Emissions

We are continuously developing our production processes further to minimize emissions. Our environmental management controls emissions to water and air – greenhouse gases and air pollutants – as well as noise.

We participate in the Chemistry4Climate dialogue platform (relevant web content available in German only), an initiative of the German Chemical Industry Association (VCI) and the Association of German Engineers (VDI). Chemistry4Climate develops recommendations for political institutions on how to shape the regulatory environment in a way that will make carbon neutrality a reality in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries by 2050.

  • Working group 1 – “Energy Supply and Infrastructure in the Future” – studies issues surrounding infrastructure planning for both electricity and gas grids in order to help accelerate the move to a renewable hydrogen economy.
  • Working group 2 – “The Circular Economy and Raw Material Supply in the Future” – looks at the role that the biobased economy and recycling (both of products and of carbon) play in achieving carbon neutrality.
  • Working group 3 – “Regulatory Environment” – compiles the results and develops recommendations for action to take to achieve carbon neutrality.
