Fujitsu, the Japanese IT service provider, honored Siltronic in 2009 with its “2008 Supplier Award.” With a score of 88.5 points in the first half-year and 86.5 in the second, Siltronic was adjudged to be the best silicon supplier. Fujitsu honors only 20 of its more than 300 major suppliers. This is the second time in a row that Siltronic has received this award. “Such awards are important to the whole company,” says Paul Lindblad, member of the Siltronic executive board. “They are a good indicator of how customers view the performance of our products, our service and naturally our pricing, too.
